The Peterborough neighbourhoods with the highest house prices - as report says values have dropped by £8,000 in 12 months

A new report has revealed that house prices in Peterborough have dropped by more than £8,000 in the past 12 months.

The Centre for Cities report, which was published on Monday (January 26) says the average house price in the city is £254,100 – down by £8,200 from the previous year.

This drop of 3.1 per cent is among the biggest in the country.

Of the 56 towns and cities listed, only seven have seen a bigger drop (in percentage terms) – Southampton, York, Oxford, Blackburn, Cambridge, Worthing and London.

Doncaster saw the biggest increase in prices, followed by Liverpool and Belfast.

38 UK cities saw price rises over this period, compared to 47 between 2023 and 2024.

These are the areas of Peterborough where houses have the highest value, according to The Land Registry.
