5. Kathmandu Lounge, Church Street
Kathmandu Lounge- The Nepalese and Indian restaurant- has taken the place of the vacant Yorkshire Bank building on the corner of Church Street and Cross Street in the city centre. The fine dining restaurant seats around 90 diners on the ground floor, with room for another 30 in a less formally set out lounge area, which will be used at lunchtimes. Photo: PT
6. The Cuckoo, Alwalton
The historic pub has reopened its doors and launched a new menu after undergoing an extensive refurbishment. Among the notable changes, are a refreshed beer garden, new sophisticated interiors, and plush, comfy furniture to give The Cuckoo the perfect country pub aesthetic. Along with a new appearance, The Cuckoo is also offering a revamped menu which boasts a selection of popular dishes including indulgent Slow-Cooked Pork Belly, Katsu Chicken Rice Bowl and seared fillet of Sea Bass. 7. White Horse, Baston
Another pub that has undergone a refurbishment is the White Horse in Baston. The White Horse has been a big part of life in Baston, near Market Deeping, since opening in 2013 – replacing the Spinning Wheel pub which closed the previous year. The food offering has been changed to lign the barn and the pub with the same across both sites. Sacrewell Farm has partnered with the Bespoke Food Group to reopen its cafe as The Farmhouse Table, offering an exciting new menu focused on fresh, locally sourced produce, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests.
