The Opals Group, which was founded 10 years ago, has opened the doors to its new base in Morley Way, Woodston, as the business, which has 190 staff and is still recruiting, looks to expand its operations.

The company acquired the 41,660 sq ft warehouse last November and since then the building has undergone a major refurbishment.

The move comes as Opals Group enjoys yearly growth expanding its operations into new areas as part of the UK’s drive to roll out Fibre to Home.

Sam Hodge, the founder and managing director, said: “The new headquarters will support this growth and allow us to deliver a great service to clients and be a new home to our employees.

“I am extremely pleased with the end result and look forward to continuing to grow and expand Opals Group in our new headquarters.

“To celebrate there will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony in the near future with clients, staff and partners to showcase the new headquarters. The refurbishment took longer than expected due to Covid-19 but the finished product is a world away from its former self thanks to Probus Construction, of Bourne.”

The building offers a modern office environment, training facility and extensive warehouse and storage capacity.

Mr Hodge added: “Peterborough is a great central location for our headquarters and allows us to be at the centre of our delivery areas.”
