Strong winds to return to Peterborough as Met Office issues weather warning

We’ve had Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis, and this weekend will once again see strong winds hitting Peterborough.

Thankfully, though, the forecast is not as bad with the Met Office predicting gusts of up to 48mph - 20mph down on the wind strength during the recent storms.

A yellow warning for wind has now been put in place from noon on Saturday for 24 hours.

The area covered by the warning is right on the border of Peterborough, with the most southerly part expected to be Wittering, although there is still time for that to change.

The Met Office said there could be transport delays as a result of the strong winds.
