Springtime in Peterborough’s Cathedral Square - in the seventies

Spring has officially sprung - and the main image above is from that season in the late 1970s showing four girls chatting next to beautiful tulips and daffs.

Behind them is the popular Mac Fisheries (now Wagamama) next to Morley’s (now an insurance shop), ABC Taxis, Lloyds (now Starbucks) and a Beetle car.

Cathedral Square has changed considerably since the photo was taken but what do readers think – I preferred the colourful flower beds!
