Ramsey pupils take first prize at Rotary contest
Abbey College in Ramsey is celebrating after students from their foundation team were crowned champions at The Rotary Club engineering tournament, held at the St Ivo Academy.
Teams were entered from Abbey College in the foundation, intermediate and advanced section, with the foundation team coming first out of six other schools taking part.
Students were commended after winning a very challenging engineering task and were praised for their exceptional designing, prototype manufacturing and testing skills.
The winning students were presented with a glass trophy and a £50 cheque by Rotary Club member Roy Whit, and Dr Andrew Harter, the CBE Deputy Lieutenant for Cambridgeshire.
