Plans have been submitted to convert a former doctor’s surgery in Peterborough into a six-bedroom House of Multiple Occupation (HMO).

Church Walk Surgery closed in June last year with services transferring to Eye Road Surgery.

Patients were able to move to either Eye Road Surgery or Parnwell Medical Practice in Saltersgate.

Under plans submitted to Peterborough City Council, the former GP practice would now become a six-bedroom HMO.

The application to the council, which will now be considered, states: “No physical development will be required for the change of use to a HMO.

“There will only be minor interior alterations in order to accommodate the six en suite bedrooms and shared amenities.”
