Plans for new flats in Eastfield approved
Plans for nine new flats in Eastfield have been approved by Peterborough City Council.
The application by Idera Real Estates Ltd for 16 Whitsed Street will see the demolition of a shop and construction of an extension to the existing dwelling.
The application stated: “It is proposed to demolish the existing single storey structure, convert the two storey house and construct a new two storey building to the frontage with a second floor within the roof.
“This will house a total of five one-bed units.
“The house will be extended and converted into three, one bed units.”
It added: “The proposal should be seen as the best use of the site as directed by national government and we believe is sympathetic to its surrounding neighbours.”
The plans include off-street parking.
