The dust has now started to settle following the Peterborough local elections on May 7.

With 18 councillors being elected – many for the first time – there will be a new look to Peterborough City Council when the next meeting takes place on May 18.

With the authority remaining in no overall control – which means no party has an outright majority – discussions will now be taking place between the group leaders to see if a coalition can be formed.

The Peterborough Telegraph was at the count on Thursday night – and into the small hours of Friday, to capture all the reaction from a dramatic night – the last election of Peterborough City Council as we know it, before Local Government Re-organisation is set to change the way local authorities are set up next year.

The results are listed in alphabetical order by council ward.
