Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice remains closed to new patients after an outbreak of COVID-19.

The hospice was closed to new patients at the start of the month.

Today a spokesman said: “The situation at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice remains the same, our inpatient unit remains closed to new admissions.

“We continue to work with Public Health England and are regularly reviewing the situation.

“Once we are confident that new patients would not be at risk of contracting the virus”whilst at the hospice, we will re-open to new admissions.”
