Peterborough’s Showground to offer wedding and civil ceremonies

Jason Lunn, venue director, said: “It became increasingly clear that due to the pandemic there were a lot of people who were struggling to find an available venue for weddings they had hoped to have this summer.

“Our venue is a blank canvas upon which any couple can paint their dream wedding. We have two indoor spaces available, set in 250 acres of green fields and trees, and with our team of event experts and caterers on hand to ensure everything goes perfectly we can make everyone’s wedding a truly memorable day.”

The arena weddings team has chosen the Peterborough Suite and the Atrium as ideal spaces for weddings and receptions. They can be combined into a single event space or divided for individual use, accommodating between 100 and 600 guests.

The venue is now offering new, all-inclusive packages from £600 for a civil ceremony-only event and £6,000 for a civil ceremony and wedding reception. The packages include access to discounted hotel room rates available locally and a range of set and decoration options for couples looking for a themed event or a specific style.
