Peterborough's Nene Park Trust appoints 'chair deisgnate'

Nene Park Trust have appointed a 'chair designate' who will take over the running of the park next year.

Early this year, Nene Park Trust enlisted the services of Starfish, a specialist recruitment firm, to help with the search for a new Chair of Trusteesand today said they were delighted to announce the appointment of Jackie Bland as Chair Designate.

Jackie joins Nene Park Trust as a trustee and Chair Designate with immediate effect before officially becoming Chair of Trustees at the AGM in summer 2021 when Jon Marsden, Chair of Trustees at Nene Park Trust, retires from the board.

After an early career as a journalist and Government Agency director, Jackie moved to Peterborough in 1994, becoming a regular visitor to Nene Park, and enjoying a busy 22

years as a CEO of national and regional charities including Deafblind UK, Living Sport and Shine.

In 2015, Jackie retrained as a psychotherapist, independently offering leadership mentoring to CEOs and senior staff, whilst serving as a non-executive director and board chair for a

charity fundraising company. Alongside her continued work as a personal psychotherapist to private clients, Jackie works to educate people in the workplace, and in schools, on simple

and achievable ways of staying both mentally and physically well, drawing on the learning from her various tenures as director and CEO.

Jon Marsden, Chair of Trustees at Nene Park Trust said "I look forward to working with Jackie over the next few months to ensure a seamless handover. It has been an absolute
