Peterborough's iconic Laserforce to close after 25 years

Peterborough’s iconic Laserforce venue is set to close after 25 years.

The popular laser tag venue is set to close its doors at the beginning of March after being unable to secure a lease for new operators.

Laserforce was founded by Martin Nash of , with help from his sons, of Nash Entertainment Centres Ltd, 25 years ago, but with Martin now looking to retire, a buyer for the site was found but the potential new owners have been unable to secure an agreement on a new lease to run the premises.

This has forced the venue to close and its final day will be a four-hour gaming session on March 1.

Martin said: It’s sad, I built this place 25 years ago with my sons. I enjoy the work and it’s great fun and I thoroughly enjoy it but my next birthday is my 70th; I’ve got family and it’s time I dedicated a bit more time to them.

It will be sad to close because it’s got a huge following with tremendous loyalty and I have had some lovely messages from people reaching out.”

Bookings are still being taken for February and the holiday games sessions will be running during half-term. There will also be a special four-hour Sunday session on February 15.
