Hannah and Naomi Moxon, who wowed judges on talent contest The Voice five years ago, sang in front of more than 82,000 fans (including Prince William) ahead of the 4pm kick-off between Manchester City and Aston Villa.

The identical twin sopranos posted on their social media accounts: "Wow what an amazing experience performing at the @thecarabaocup this afternoon, the crowd were amazing including HRH Prince William! Thank you @event360_sport Sophie for looking after us so well xx."

They later added: "We had a blast singing it! What a brilliant crowd too."

Speaking to the Peterborough Telegraph, they added: “It was such an amazing performance singing alongside such enthusiastic fans! It was such an electric atmosphere. Of course Prince William was in the audience too which made it even more special. We are looking forward to more sporting performances.”

City won the final 2-1.

This is not the first time the twins have performed in front of big crowds, or even royalty.

The Classic Brit award nominees have previously headlined at the Royal Albert Hall, performed the national anthem at the O2 and been invited to sing for the Royal Family at private functions.
