Peterborough start-up fund Haatch named among UK’s best
Haatch, which was founded just 19 months ago by Scott Weavers-Wright, who was the former chief executive of Kiddicare.com - the internet arm of Peterborough-based baby care supplier Kiddicare - has been named among the top 20 in the country by financial publisher Growth Business.
The accolade comes after Haatch closed a further four investments totalling more than £1 million in early stage UK tech ventures.

“As Covid plays out, we continue to put our money where our mouth is – backing eight businesses since the pandemic began and we’re very excited about what we are seeing in the variety of start-ups now coming to us for help.
“The future of UK tech is very bright indeed.”
Its four recent investments include a £500,000 funding of Aerocloud, which seeks to remove inefficiencies from airport operations, a £150,000 funding of virtual reality specialist Bodyswaps, a £200,000 investment in software business Reflow plus a further £750,000 for verified development team outsourcing platform Deazy.
Haatch co-founder Fred Soneya said: “Deazy is a world class product and we remain fully committed in the business. Following on was an easy decision for us and we’re proud to hold a significant portion of the company.”
