Peterborough pupils hit the dancefloor for a silent disco

Pupils at William Law CE Primary School in Werrington experienced what one Yr 5 pupil described as, ‘the best day ever’ when each bubble had their own silent disco.

The school hired the wireless headphones and transmitters from SilentDisco4u, after they offered them out to all schools for just the cost of delivery.

All children currently attending, from Early Years up to Year 6, took part in the experience and danced away to their own choice of tunes.

The disco turned out to not be the silent experience it was supposed to, as the youngest children could be heard squealing with delight, said assistant head Chloe Coles, who added: “We all know that the pandemic has meant that children have missed out on so many special and important experiences and we are all really passionate about trying to make up for some of that, in any way we can.

“The Silent Disco was something our headteacher (Mrs Cunningham) was really keen to see happen and as you can see from the smiles in the photos, the children loved every moment of it.”
