A pub in Peterborough has raised thousands of pounds for good causes.

Andy Simmonds from the Ploughman in Werrington presented a cheque for more than £2,000 to Barry Leslie, assistant headteacher of Heltwate School, along with two of his pupils after a fundraising effort.

The pub has also donated £1,000 to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and £4,000 Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall.
