Mr Bristow will be running ten 10km runs during March and April to help the hospice as part of the 10 for 10 challenge.

The challenge encourages people to set their own 10for10 Challenge - you could walk 10,000 steps, do 10 press ups or set ups a day, or even run or cycle 10k - to raise money for charity.

Mr Bristow said: “Thorpe Hall is a wonderful place, with amazing staff and volunteers. It has a special place in local hearts, as years of fundraising prove.

“So it’s super to give something back by running 10k ten times in March and April and so far raising nearly £1,000 for the hospice. That’s 100 kilometres altogether, so around 62 miles.

“Results following a run are not a pretty sight, but exhaustion and sweat are a small prize to pay to help such a special place.”
