The price of diesel has soared in recent weeks

Peterborough diesel prices: As Iran ceasefire continues, where is the cheapest place to fill up in city?

There have been sighs of relief after a two week ceasefire was agreed to stop hostilities in the Middle East.

While the conflict has had a devastating impact on lives in the Middle East, it has also impacted lives here in the UK, thousands of miles away, as prices have surged.

One of the biggest impacts people will have noticed is the cost of petrol and diesel.

On March 20, according to https://www.petrolprices.com/, the cheapest price for a litre of diesel in Peterborough was 157.9p, at the Co-op in Orton.

Now, just a couple of weeks later, the cheapest price stands at an incredible 184.8p per litre.

In recent weeks there have also been reports of some petrol stations running out of diesel.

These prices were taken from https://www.petrolprices.com/ on the afternoon of April 9 2026
