Peterborough 3D printing specialist wins recognition for contribution during Covid-19

3D printing specialists Photocentric, of Oxney Road, was named winner of the Manufacturing Matters Award a new category introduced at the manufacturers’ association Make UK Midlands awards specifically to recognise companies that had contributed to the national effort during the pandemic.

Photocentric was also named runner-up in Make UK Innovation Award.

Photocentric was the first company to mass manufacture face shields for key workers during the pandemic and just weeks ago passed the two million face shields-made milestone.

“The sector has been at the heart of delivering during the crisis and as we re-build our economy there will be a bright future for companies and individuals that make the most of their talent.”

Photocentric will now go forward to the national finals to compete against other regional winners across the UK.
