The NHS has just agreed a 12 year lease on the former offices of Premier Kitchens and Bedrooms, which closed late last year.

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is to occupy 14,367 sq ft of the former retail showroom, which is made up of a two storey set of offices and warehouse space at 2 Phorpres Close, Cygnet Park in Hampton.

It is understood the building will be used as a new office and training centre for the trust, which employs more than 4,000 staff and is looking to bring together a number of its teams.

The lease agreement has been overseen by commercial agents Savills, on behalf of owners PKB Ltd.

It follows a deal with DIY retailer Screwfix which began trading at the park at the end of September.

Iain Forsythe, director of PKB Ltd, said: “We have worked closely with Savills to achieve the full occupancy of the estate, with which we are delighted.”

Edward Gee, associate director in the business space team at Savills Peterborough, said: “Situated in a prominent location in Hampton, the sizeable unit is ideal for the new NHS training facility.

“We are very pleased to have successfully repurposed the space on behalf of our client.”
