New water pipelines in Peterborough are set to be installed, according to Anglian Water.

The utilities company has posted on its website that it is carrying out a strategic programme to ensure “resilient water supplies for the long-term environmental and social prosperity of our region”.

This includes putting in new pipelines between Peterborough and Grantham.

The company said: “We’re currently identifying the likely routes for these pipelines and considering timescales for delivery. We are working on routes that seek to minimise any short-term disruption to the local environment and community.”

Survey work will now be carried out until the end of June.
