New Peterborough Youth MP will ‘fight injustices’

The new Youth MP for Peterborough has vowed to fight injustices following a record-breaking election.

Noah Salehi (16) was confirmed as the city’s Youth MP for 2020/21 during a ceremony at Peterborough Town Hall on Tuesday. Noah said: “I can’t wait for the opportunities this role will give me and the chance to represent the city’s young people at a national level.

“I intend to fight injustices, promote lifeskill learning in school lessons and ensure that climate change is promoted in Peterborough and nationally.”

The election saw a record breaking 10,051 votes cast at 16 schools, with seven candidates standing.
