New partnership to keep Magpas rapid response cars rolling

The world’s largest vehicle service organisation has officially joined forces with the Magpas Air Ambulance to sponsor the charity’s rapid response cars making sure they are always ready to roll in an emergency.

The new sponsorship deal with Cox Automotive will provide essential funds that will enable Magpas’ advanced medical team to deliver vital care to critically ill and injured patients across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding counties.

Natalie Church, Director of Operations at Magpas Air Ambulance said: “We are thrilled to be working with Cox Automotive. Last year, our clinicians responded to over 700 emergency calls via the Magpas rapid response vehicles and travelled over 30,245 miles. Our response cars are a critical asset to our clinical service.

Pete Bell, managing director of Cox Automotive Vehicle Solutions, was proud to be partnering with Magpas Air Ambulance, who he said do not just save lives, but also help people to recover.

He said: “Supporting communities is very close to our hearts at Cox Automotive. The opportunity to sponsor Magpas’ rapid response vehicles based from our shared site at RAF Wyton to keep these critical vehicles operating is something that we are tremendously excited about.

“We will also be working more closely with the Magpas Air Ambulance team on a range of other initiatives too in the next 12 months.”
