Nearly 100 COVID-19 patients have died at Peterborough City Hospital

The North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust said that 99 patients with COVID-19 have now died at Peterborough City Hospital since March 24.

Across Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford and Rutland hospitals, the trust said the figure stands at 153 - a rise of four from yesterday’s numbers.

Caroline Walker, Chief Executive, for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I can confirm that sadly, a total of 154 patients being cared for in our Trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths. There have been 55 at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and 99 at Peterborough City Hospital. Patients were aged 30 to 98 years old and had pre-existing health conditions. They had all tested positive for Covid-19.

“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”
