Music, comedy and dance... it's the 77th Peterborough Gang Show

There is still time to see Peterborough Gang Show at the Key Theatre today, as the much-loved local tradition celebrates its 77th show with a spectacular mix of music, comedy and dance.

The latest production, Once Upon a Time, which opened on Thursday, promises a journey through familiar stories, imagination and theatrical magic – and a cast of 62 performers aged 8-21.

First performed in 1937, Peterborough Gang Show brings together members of Peterborough District Scouts for a vibrant variety performance celebrating the talents of young people across the district.

More than just a show, Gang Show gives young people the opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills, make lifelong friendships and experience the excitement of performing on stage.

Directors Nina and Stacey said: “This year, we’re taking audiences on a journey through the stories we know and love, beginning with a little Pure Imagination and stepping into the world of Once Upon a Time.

“At the heart of Gang Show are our incredible young people, whose enthusiasm, creativity and commitment continue to amaze us. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved.

“A production like this takes an amazing team of volunteers, both on and off stage. We are grateful to everyone who gives their time and energy, alongside our sponsors, advertisers, families and supporters who help bring our show to life.

“We hope audiences enjoy the show as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it. Let your imagination run wild and discover the magic that happens when we all come together!”
