More than 40 patients with COVID-19 have died at Peterborough City Hospital

A total of 44 patients with COVID-19 have now died at Peterborough City Hospital, it has been confirmed.

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke, and Stamford and Rutland Hospitals, said a total of 74 patients who had tested positive for the disease had now died at their hospitals.

Caroline Walker, Chief Executive, for the trust, said: “I can confirm that sadly, a total of 74 patients being cared for in our Trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths (on March 24). There have been 30 at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and 44 at Peterborough City Hospital.

Patients were aged 30 to 98 years old and had pre-existing health conditions. They had all tested positive for COVID-19.
