What will Peterborough’s weather be in early November?
The Met Office’s long range forecast is one way of trying to gauge what Peterborough’s weather could look like over the coming weeks.
Updated on a daily basis, the long range forecast provides an indication of how the weather might change, or be different from normal, in the weeks ahead.
While the long range forecasts are unable to provide the same detail as a daily forecast or focus on a particular area, they do allow us to understand what current weather models suggest about the weeks to come.
The current long range forecast, which covers the period between October 30 and November 13, predicts: “Weather patterns dominated by westerly or south-westerly winds from the Atlantic are most likely during November.
“This resulted in occasional spells of wet and windy weather followed by drier but still showery interludes.
“High pressure may attempt to build across the country at times but any settled spells are most likely to be short-lived. Temperatures are likely to be near or above average overall.”
With this in mind, it doesn’t appear that Peterborough can expect any frosts or flurries of snow in early November.
