Letter: Thorpe Hall Hospice launches emergency appeal

I am writing to you to tell you about the devastating impact the Coronavirus crisis is having on us and how we urgently need your help.

We are facing a huge challenge in the next few weeks. All of our shops have closed and nearly all of our fundraising activities have stopped resulting in a massive drop in our income. For the very first time we are finding ourselves in the position where we might not be able to afford to continue providing end of life care.

We are so very proud of the work we do, the expert care we give and the vital support we provide to the NHS, thanks to our generous supporters.

Today, we find ourselves needed more than ever before. It is devastating to think we might not be able to continue. I cannot imagine what our patients would do without us. This is why I am asking for your help. If we can raise enough money to help us get through the next few weeks we stand a chance. It will make all the difference.
