Jobs created in Peterborough as demand surges for electric car chargers at home
Smart Home Charge, in Thorpe Wood Business Park, is looking to recruit an unspecified number of people to join its training and customer service teams.
The recruitment campaign has been launched after the company inquiries for its services rose by more than 1,000 per cent over the last 12 months.

Graham Warby, founder and managing director of Smart Home Charge, which is part of Response EPR, said the growth has been phenomenal but not unexpected.
He said: “We are constantly evolving and the impressive growth, even throughout lockdown, means we are able to offer fantastic career opportunities.
“We are looking for people who want to work in the electric car and eco-tech sector to help drive the business forward.”

Smart Home Charge also employs an editorial team to produce written and video guides about electric vehicles.
Editor and marketing manager Danny Morgan said: “It might seem strange for an electrical installation business to have an editorial team but building trust with our customers has been a crucial component of our growth.”
