Investors Conference to power Peterborough transformation could meet ‘virtually’
But organisers say the coronavirus pandemic and the demands of social distancing mean the conference is likely to be held online.
It is hoped the event will be held towards the end of the year and will attract investors and developers who want to get involved turning the city’s development masterplan into reality.

Hide AdTom Hennessy, chief executive of the city’s economic development company Opportunity Peterborough, announced the conference details during the agency’s first Bondholder breakfast for business people to be held online.
The Investors’ Conference was first suggested in January, when it had been hoped to stage the event this spring.
The masterplan envisages that a redevelopment of the Station Quarter will kickstart the city’s transformation.
It is hoped work could start next year to create a state-of-the-art station gateway building with a new office park and surrounding retail facilities and with the Great Northern Hotel to be retained.
