Ashlynn Grange Care Home, in Bretton Gate, recently attended the Athena Care Homes VIP Awards ceremony where it was recognised in three categories.
Andreia Trindade from the care home said: “We were honoured to attend the prestigious Athena VIP - Value in People Awards, where Ashlynn Grange was proudly recognised for its exceptional social media presence, innovation, and mindfulness moments. This incredible achievement is a true reflection of the passion, teamwork, and commitment of every member of our outstanding team. “A heartfelt thank you goes out to our lifestyle, housekeeping, catering, clinical, admin, and management teams for their unwavering dedication. This recognition is a celebration of all hard work, and we couldn’t be prouder of the meaningful moments created every day for our residents, their families, and the professionals who support us.”
The care home later held a Christmas fair featuring festive stalls and gifts, and visits from some familiar Christmas characters.
"We were honoured to welcome the Honourable Alderman, former Mayor Gul Nawaz, and Councillor Raja Sabeel Ahmed, who joined us for this special occasion,” explained Andreia.
“The highlight of the day was the magical moment when the Honourable Alderman, former Mayor Gul Nawaz, lit up our stunning Christmas lights, spreading joy and festive cheer throughout Ashlynn Grange.
“Our residents thoroughly enjoyed embracing the holiday spirit, and it was heartwarming to witness the smiles, laughter, and joy that filled the day. Santa and his cheerful helpers, mischievous elves, a jolly snowman, prancing reindeer, and even the Grinch joined in the festivities, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
“A huge thank you to our incredible staff for their creativity, dedication, and enthusiasm. Your efforts in dressing up, organising, and making the event so magical are truly appreciated.
"We are also grateful to everyone who contributed, supported, and helped make this day so special, bringing joy and sparkling smiles to everyone involved. The atmosphere was absolutely electric, brimming with love, laughter, and festive delight.”
