In pictures: All the fun of the fair - on Peterborough's Embankment

The Embankment in Peterborough has come alive with the sights and sounds, laughter and excitement, of the annual Bridge Fair,

John Thurston and Son Funfair – with more rides than ever before – will be providing the thrills on the riverside site until Sunday (October 5).

There are also two brand new rides never seen before in the city.

It is open 6pm-10pm each night; also Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2pm.

Thursday is cheap rides night and on Saturday there will be a giant firework display.

Entry is £1 per person (£2 on Saturday).
