Diners have been given a first look at what they can expect from Peterborough’s new all-you-can-eat buffet ahead of its opening next month.
The new Umami restaurant in the city’s Queensgate Shopping Centre will open its doors to customers in November, it was confirmed yesterday (Wednesday, October 21).
Umami, which is also opening sites in Middlesbrough, Colchester and Gloucester over the coming months, promises to bring “a feast of global flavours” to Peterborough.

Diners can explore more than 250 freshly prepared dishes inspired by cuisines from across the globe, with chefs cooking live at Teppanyaki grills and pizza oven stations using fresh ingredients throughout the day.
The extensive menu invites foodies to explore the Asian kitchen, street food, Japanese kitchen, fresh market, Italian kitchen, the grill and dessert room.
Located within a 7,000 sq ft site next to Queensgate’s Odeon cinema, the new restaurant features seating for 240 diners and has created 40 jobs.
