Graffiti blight on river walk in Peterborough - LETTER

Whilst exploring the Broadwalks close to the River Nene I have seen several of the colourful Froglife display boards defaced with graffiti making them difficult to read.

It seems that those mindless idiots have moved on from spraying the street furniture, exterior brick walls and wooden fences in and around the townships of Orton Malborne and Goldhay which have remained uncleansed for many months.

With this graffiti blight now appearing on these display boards which I believe are Froglife’s responsibility members of the public who put much value to these informative displays hope you will deal with this problem once the walkways allow access once the water finally drains away.

If Froglife is not responsible for these items, hopefully they will pass on this problem to the appropriate department that can deal with the matter and more importantly identify those idiots who have carried out this vandalism.

With the police giving this problem low priority there is becoming more and more of a need for members of the public to be watchful and report such vandalism to the police, hopefully with descriptions of those responsible.
