Peterborough paid tribute to the fallen in all conflicts across the world this Sunday (November 8).
Hundreds of people gathered at the Bridge Street War Memorial to observe a two-minute silence amid an appropriately crisp and foggy morning.
Civic dignitaries laid wreaths of poppies at the memorial after the Last Post had been sounded.
Veterans, cadets and members of the emergency services joined councillors, MPs and the Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire in a procession from Bridge Street through to Peterborough Cathedral for a service of remembrance. A parade was also held back by the memorial following the Cathedral service.
A two-minute silence and Armistice service will also be held at 10.50 am on Wednesday November 11, also at the War Memorial.
