Izzy is one of 15 nominees on the longlist, which is compiled by a panel of 144 DJs, critics and writers, highlighting rising acts for the coming year. It will be whittled down to a shortlist of five in January, with the winner announced on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show on January 8.

The news comes just a few days after Izzy was named runner up in the Critics’ Choice Award in the 2016 Brits. She is joined by fellow nominee Frances and Critics’ Choice Award winner Jack Garratt on the BBC list.
