For the first time in months, customers can visit Motorpoint in Peterborough from today without an appointment

The independent car retailer, which is based on Edgerley Drain Road, has re-opened following new advice from the Government.

Now, customers can visit Motorpoint seven days a week, including until 8pm weekdays, to browse over 5,000 cars and light commercial vehicles in stock from over 30 different manufacturers – all of which will be available for same day driveaway.

Mark Carpenter, chief executive Officer of Motorpoint, said: “We’re delighted to once again be able to fully open our doors to the public in England following the Prime Minister’s announcement.

“We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes in readiness for this moment, redesigning our processes in order to minimise contact and with it ensure customers and colleagues are COV19-secure at all times.

“I am sure I speak on behalf of the whole of Motorpoint when I say that we all look forward to welcoming customers, old and new, back into our branches in England and, in the coming weeks, in Scotland and Wales.”

As part of this safeguarding process customers will be able to test drive cars without someone from Motorpoint being present while all vehicle collections will be completed in specially designated areas to guarantee social distancing at all times.

Motorpoint will continue to operate its free home delivery service for those customers who would prefer not to visit the branch, backed by its 14 day hassle free, money back guarantee. The free home delivery service will only be available Monday to Friday.

Mr Carpenter said: “With our branches in England set to re-open from June 1, backed by industry leading services such as free home delivery and contactless collection, customers can choose to buy and receive their new car from Motorpoint in a way that best suits them while equally importantly staying safe at all times.”
