The Travelling Bricks exhibit opens on Saturday (July 18) – and it took FIVE trucks to bring in the thousands and thousands of bricks to the Cathedral.
Over the past few days, eagle-eyed passers-by may have noticed mysterious bursts of Lego colours appearing across the city centre, in the run up the spectacular arrival.
Paul Stainton, Head of Marketing and Communications at Peterborough Cathedral, said: "Everyone's talking about World Cup fever, but here in Peterborough we've got something even more colourful - Lego fever! We wanted to create a sense of fun and curiosity that would make people stop, smile and wonder what's happening.
"This is just the start. Over the coming days, families will see even more signs that the city is getting ready for an incredible summer of building, playing and discovering at the Cathedral."
Travelling Bricks features more than 120 incredible models built from over one million LEGO bricks, alongside interactive build zones, giant soft bricks for younger children and activities throughout the summer holidays.
