From Monday (March 15) the Lakeside play area and surrounding grass area will be closed to the public for around two weeks whilst archaeological investigations take place ahead of constructing the new Fox Play area.

Fox Play will provide a fully accessible play area with water features, zip lines, raised walk ways, climbing opportunities and plenty of new tree planting. It will be aimed at older children, and be the biggest play area at Ferry Meadows, and will replace the existing play area at Lakeside. Construction is due to start in May this year.
