Deeping sisters selected to represent England at Dance World Cup - with 'girls night out' event organised to raise money
Sisters from Market Deeping are set to represent England at this year’s Dance World Cup.
Ava, 12, and Darcie, 9, will represent England with Elite Acro Dance Associates at the Dance World Cup in Dublin from July 8-18.
The pair will be performing several acro dances – a form of dance incorporating acrobatic elements.
Their mum Kelly Stewart said: “For them to both be selected is amazing, and they were so happy about it. Both have competed at a national level before so they are not nervous. The adrenaline will get them through – plus they will be with a team of others. They have always been dancers, it’s all they want to do. We’ve been in Dunstable this year for rehearsals and it’s been really gruelling for them.”

The girls have both loved dancing since the age of three – attending Inspire Dance in Market Deeping.
The family has now organised a night of fun on June 13 to raise money to help to pay for the girls competition fees and costumes.
Described as “the ultimate girls’ night out” – the event will be held at Deeping Coronation Hall and feature make-up masterclasses from 4.30pm, and a ‘Drag Bingo’ party night – hosted by Teddi the Drag Queen, at 7pm.
Kelly added: “We’ve already paid for accommodation and flights, but we’re hoping to raise some money to help cover the others costs, with costumes, rehearsals, England membership fees, and dance entry fees all pretty high this year.”
Tickets to the make-up masterclass cost £30 while the bingo party costs £20. Buy both events for £40. For tickets call 07791 352786.
