The charity, which helps homeless and needy residents in the city, tweeted: “It is with great regret, Peterborough Soup Kitchen Trustees have agreed to suspend operations temporarily, due to the current Coronavirus pandemic.
Discussions are ongoing with Peterborough City Council and Peterborough police”, to see if we can continue serving the homeless & needy. We hope to be back soon.”
The charity, which has been running since 1983, had been operating its van in the Brook Street Car Park.
