A homeless charity in Peterborough has made an urgent appeal for food to help 20 of its guests who are currently self-isolating.

The Garden House in the Cathedral Precincts, which offers support and shelter for homeless people in Peterborough, made the appeal on its Facebook page.

It said: “URGENT APPEAL

“We currently have 20 Guests self-isolating who need feeding for the next 7 days and maybe longer.

“We know these are challenging times for everyone, but if there are any people, catering businesses, or even schools with anything you can donate to us including spare packed lunches we will gladly accept them.

“Please contact James at the Garden House on 01733-560031 if you think that you could help with this request .

“We will take deliveries at the Garden House today , but may suggest Peterborough City Cathedral ⛪ as the week progresses.”

The Garden House is run by Light Project Peterborough.
