“Telephone calls are being diverted to other Octagon branches. The Bretton doctors and nurses are working from home. If you require a telephone triage appointment then this will be done by one of the regular Bretton doctors or nurse practitioners.

“Please be aware that if after your telephone appointment you need to be seen by a clinician you will be asked to attend another Octagon branch as Bretton is closed.

“If you have recently attended Bretton the risk of infection to you is very low as we have screens up between patients and the reception staff, and if you saw a clinician for an appointment then they will have been wearing PPE.

“If you have recently attended the practice and are concerned that you may have symptoms of coronavirus then please visit https://www.gov.uk/apply-coronavirus-test for more information. I would, however, stress that any risk to patients that have attended Bretton is extremely low. A full deep clean of the practice has been undertaken over the weekend.

“Thank you for your co-operation and we apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.”
