Coronavirus: No further deaths at Peterborough City Hospital

No more people with coronavirus have died at hospitals run by the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust according to the latest figures.

The latest daily figures from NHS England show that no further Covid-19 patients died at Peterborough City Hospital or Hinchingbrooke Hospital up to 5pm on May 9.

Yesterday trust chief executive Caroline Walker said: “I can confirm that, sadly, a total of 141 patients being cared for in our trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths.

“There have been 51 at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and 90 at Peterborough City Hospital. Patients were aged 30 to 98 years old and had pre-existing health conditions. They had all tested positive for Covid-19.”

They were all aged between 30 and 98 years old and had pre-existing health conditions, the trust said.

The figure provided by the trust is three more than the latest total being shown by NHS England data. The NHS England data released today stated that there were no further deaths reported at Peterborough City Hospital or Hinchingbrooke Hospital on Saturday (May 9) up to 5pm.

The number of diagnosed cases of Covid 19 has remained umchanged since yesterday’s update, with the latest figures showing the number of positive tests for the virus is still 295.
