Coronavirus: Further Covid-19 patient dies in hospital run by Peterborough health trust as deaths in UK rise again

Another Covid-19 patient has died at a hospital run by the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

The patient is the 73rd to have passed away at either Peterborough City Hospital or Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

The news comes as the number of coronavirus patients in UK hospitals to have died in the past 24 hours hit 828, compared to 449 in the 24 hour period previous.

Moreover, the number of people in Peterborough to have tested positive for the virus has risen by 10 to 147 in the past day.

In Cambridgeshire, the number of positive tests is 549, while the figure is 593 for Lincolnshire and 904 for Northamptonshire.
