Coffee house Jamaica Blue set to make impact on opening in Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping Centre
Colourful new hoardings at Peterborough’s Queensgate Shopping Centre reveal the impact a new coffee shop and cafe is expected to make when it opens in just weeks.
Coffee franchise Jamaica Blue is to open in one of the centre’s prominent locations on the Upper Mall between Goldsmiths and O2.
It is expected to open for business on May 29 and is currently recruiting for staff to fill 20 vacancies.
Michael Johnson, franchise development executive at Foodco UK, which owns Jamaica Blue, said: “We’re delighted Jamaica Blue will open in Peterborough next month.

"We look forward to welcoming customers through the doors to experience our specialty coffee, fresh brunch, lunch and sweet dishes and relaxed café atmosphere, while also creating valuable new employment opportunities in the area.”
A spokesperson for Queensgate said: “We can’t wait to welcome Jamaica Blue to the centre.”
Founded more than 30 years ago in Australia, Jamaica Blue takes its name from the renowned Jamaica Blue Mountains, home to some of the finest coffee beans in the world.
