Church bells and barking dogs - the most complained about noises in Peterborough

From the sound of birds to construction work and traffic – city life has never been noisier.

Last year in Peterborough there were hundreds of complaints about noises made to the city council.

The wrong sound at the wrong time can drive people up the wall – no matter what the intentions were.

We submitted a Freedom of Information request to the city council asking what sounds had the most complaints issued about them.

These are the most complained about sounds in Peterborough – in reverse order.
