Changes to services in Peterborough over Easter break

A number of council services across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire will be altered over the Easter break.

Cambridgeshire County Council’s Contact Centre will be closed on the bank holidays and Sunday as usual, but will remain open during its normal hours on Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

The Peterborough City Council Contact Centre will be closed from Friday, 2 April until Tuesday, 6 April.

The following key council services will continue to operate on certain dates / times:

Libraries - Click and collect services at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough library services will be closed for the bank holiday (Good Friday, Easter Sunday, bank holiday Monday) but will remain open on Saturday as normal.

Registration services - Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s registration services will be closed over the Easter bank holiday weekend from 2nd – 5th April, except for pre-arranged ceremonies over the four-day period. Household Recycling Centres – HRCs across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough remain open over the Easter period. Sites are expected to be busier than normal over Easter weekend and site capacity remains limited due to Covid-19 related measures. To help with this situation, residents are being asked to sort materials in advance to make visits quicker.

In Peterborough, those who are using a van or a trailer are reminded to book in advance. Bookings can be made online https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/residents/rubbish-and-recycling/household-recycling-centre .

Please note that March, Milton and Whittlesey sites will operate Sunday opening hours on Good Friday (2nd April) and Easter Monday (5th April).
