Car parking prices to increase at Peterborough's Ferry Meadows

The prices will increase at the park - and others run by The Nene Park Trust - by around five per cent.

A spokesman for the Nene Park Trust said: "As a charity, we rely heavily on our parking income to enable us continue to maintain, nurture and develop the beautiful landscapes of Nene Park and our range of leisure and education activities and events.

"Increasing our parking charges by just 5% will also help us to recoup some of the financial loses that we have incurred this year, and expect to incur next year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

"The tariff increase will see visitors paying an additional 10p on a stay of up to 2 hours or an additional 30p for a stay of four hours. Our annual parking membership will also be increasing from £70 to £75, which still offers amazing value at just £1.44 a week."
